The American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) has many resources and publications for the public and its members. FNU has an institutional subscription that covers most, but not all of the member-only resources. To get the login information, use the link below.
Below are the most commonly used ACOG resources. You will need to access the ejournal search (link above) to get the login information.
Other selected ACOG resources:
Note: Our subscription does NOT include "Guidelines for Perinatal Care" or "Guidelines for Women's Health Care." These are guidelines and other reference materials collected into a book format. They are available for purchase.
When people refer to "ACOG Guidelines," they probably mean Practice Bulletins, which are subtitled "Clinical Management Guidelines for Obstetrician-Gynecologists." The Bulletins are listed in reverse chronological order on ACOG's website. Each Bulletin has a number. The Bulletins are also published in Obstetrics & Gynecology, also known as the Green Journal, so the volume and issue of the journal each Bulletin appeared in will also be given.
Practice Bulletins and Committee Opinions are both indexed in MEDLINE. Therefore, if you can't find what you are looking for from the ACOG website, you can search in MEDLINE. Try searching for "ACOG" in the corporate author field, as shown below.
As noted above, we do not have access to "Guidelines for Perinatal Care" or "Guidelines for Women's Health Care." These are book resources that are available for purchase.
Obstetrics & Gynecology is the official publication of ACOG and is often referred to as the "Green Journal" because of its green cover.
Two blog posts from the Frontier Library Blog discuss ACOG Publications in more detail. The links in these posts are no longer valid but some may find the information helpful.
