Scholarship Resources for Faculty

Start Here

Welcome to Scholarship Resources for Faculty.

This set of resources originated in 2016 with the first on-site Mini Symposium Scholarship Retreat sponsored by the Research Committee, held the day prior to the annual Faculty Meeting, then in Hyden.  For the Research Retreats held in 2016, 2017, and 2019, resources presented during the symposiums were archived here. This includes recordings, slides, and suggested resources from our keynote speakers, and links to materials from our internal faculty presentations, for instance, from the Writing Support Specialist, Librarians, or faculty experts on statistics or the publication process. You are encouraged to browse through these resources.

In addition to resources presented at mini-symposiums, there are resources on many topics related to nursing scholarship and professional writing. Notably, there is a section about presenting conference presentations and abstracts, or resources supplied by the International Academy of Nurse Editors (INANE) for nurse scholars.  Other resources offer support for the conventions followed for nurse scholars to develop or publish scholarly articles.

Faculty and staff are encouraged to reach out to Gail Spake, Writing Support Specialist for editing services and coaching, or guidance on finding the resource you need.

FNU librarians are also available to offer advice or support..Resources on writing and APA 7th resources are available on the Library home page under Quick Links on the right side of the site.  In that stack of Quick Links, if you click on InfoGuides, a more extensive list of specific scholarly resources will display.
